IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:

I did not create this website to encourage anyone to breeed dachshunds and corgis or purchase a dorgi from a hybrid or "designer dog" breeder.

Anyone considering a new pet should ADOPT, NOT SHOP!

There are between THREE TO FOUR MILLION dogs and cats euthanized each year from pet overpopulation and irresponsible pet parenting.

I enourage you to visit petfinder.com or visit your local shelter or humane society.

This website is intended only for those who happen to have a mixed or "mutt" breed including dachshund and/or corgi. PLEASE DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE!

History of Dorgis

Queen Elizabeth
  • Deemed by the Queen!

Queen Elizabeth II introduced the Dorgi, when one of her corgis was mated with a dachshund named Pipkin which belonged to Princess Margaret. Elizabeth found them appealing enough to christen the type "Dorgi" and arrange for more to be born. The Queen currently owns four Dorgis. (source)
